There’s an old dinosaur hunting game from the late 90s to early 2000s that my brother and I played on PC and we can’t remember it.
It was definitely not Carnivores after doing some research.
One very specific thing I remember was when you died by a TRex. It would hold you in its mouth with your legs and arms on the outside of its mouth. It would shake and your character would scream on a loop. Your arms and legs would break off repeatedly and just fly in whatever direction.
I cannot remember if it said game over or what, I just remember the limbs flying off and the trex shaking you in its mouth and the camera was placed from underneath looking up at the bottom jaw.
Can’t find anything on it anywhere.

It was very polygon with no foliage. I think it was honestly just a cheap clone game of one of those that was so obscure not many people played it. We were poor growing up and were lucky to get an old PC from my Dad’s work so our games were like $5-10 with 10 being expensive.
